These forums are primarily dedicated to discussion of the Balance Method of acupuncture as taught by Dr. Richard Tan. Although we do have sub-forums for Jimmy Chang's Pulsynergy, Master Tung's acupuncture, and other topics of interest to the Balance Method community, we'd like to emphasize that this is not a "general interest" TCM forum. The discussion of acupuncture here is restricted to the Balance Method and other channel-based and I Ching / Ba Gua systems.

We'd like to emphasize that this is an independent forum and is not officially connected with Dr. Tan in any way. We are simply eager students and practitioners of the Balance Method who wish to learn with others who share our interests.

In order to create the best user experience possible, we require everyone to register if they wish to browse or participate in the forums. Anonymity on internet forums is a double-edged sword. In some cases it promotes safe disclosure, while in others it seems to encourage an unhealthy lack of consideration and restraint.

For that reason we ask you to use your real name on these forums, either as your username or in your signature. We cannot force you to do this. It is simply a request we ask you to comply with for the benefit of the community.

Our wish is that the moderators won't have to moderate much at all. Let's think of it as a "self-moderated" forum. However, personal attacks and any form of discriminatory language will not be tolerated here. If you engage in that type of behavior you'll be given a warning, and then banned if it happens again.

If you'd like to join, just click on the "register" button on the upper right side of the screen under the "search" box. We hope these forums are a rich source of information and inspiration for you. See you on the forum!
